Colonel (Dr.) Mohan Kubendra is a pioneer in the field of Family Medicine and healthcare. With a distinguished career spanning over 22 years in the Armed Forces, Dr. Mohan has not only served the nation but has also emerged as a leader dedicated to revolutionizing healthcare accessibility and affordability.

In the course of his illustrious career, Dr. Mohan has held key positions, reflecting his expertise and leadership skills. His roles as the Deputy Director of Medical Services on foreign deputation to Bhutan, Commanding Officer of a Field Hospital, and Director & Chief Instructor at the AMC Centre & College underscore his commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery.

Driven by an unwavering passion for providing accessible and affordable healthcare, Dr. Mohan embarked on a new journey by taking voluntary retirement to establish Spandana Health Care. This initiative, a chain of Family Practice Centers in the suburbs of Bangalore, stands as a testament to his commitment to the well-being of the community. His vision is to ensure that quality healthcare is not a luxury but a fundamental right for all.

Dr. Mohan's academic achievements further exemplify his dedication to learning and excellence. Holding a Master's degree in Family Medicine (DNB) and specialized qualifications in Diabetes Management, Hospital Administration, and Aviation Medicine, he stands as a beacon of knowledge and expertise in the medical field.

As the Founder President of the Academy of Family Physicians of India (AFPI) Karnataka Chapter and the current National Vice President and President Elect of AFPI, Dr. Mohan is instrumental in advancing the concept of the 'Family Doctor' and elevating family medicine to a distinct clinical specialty in India. His leadership is pivotal in shaping the future of healthcare in the country.

Amid the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Mohan exhibited exemplary dedication by actively managing and treating over 5000 COVID patients. His expertise and compassionate approach earned him prestigious accolades, including the AFPI National Award, the Healthcare Leadership Award, and the Namma Bengaluru Foundation Covid Warrior Award.

Beyond his professional commitments, Dr. Mohan demonstrates a deep connection to Kannada culture. Leading the Karnataka Rajyotsava celebrations every year in an Army Veterans colony, largely comprising Non-Kannadigas, he imparts the essence of the language through Spoken Kannada classes with the tagline "Kannada Kalisi Kannada Ulisi."

With a profound empathy for the underserved population, Dr. Mohan organizes regular outreach medical camps at various migrant labor camps, ensuring that healthcare reaches those who need it the most.

Dr Jyotika excels in vaccination (adult and travel), and patient counselling and has a special interest in preventive medicine and community health.

She is a prolific speaker on health issues and is frequently invited to address communities as well as medical conferences. She also mentors the PG students as a part of the Young Doctor’s Movement of AFPI.

Dr. Archana Prabhakar, an alumna of Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubli, completed a research tenure at Stanford University before obtaining her M.Med in Family Medicine from Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore. Dr.V. Sreenivas is currently the Dean, the College of Family Medicine, AFPI and the Member of its National Executive. He is the Founder President of AFPI Telangana State Chapter and Chairman of its Scientific Committee.

Dr. V. Sreenivas was awarded 'the Honorary Professor', Indian Medical Association, College of General Practitioners, New Delhi.

Dr.V.Sreenivas is a Family Medicine Physician located in Hyderabad City. He studied at Osmania Medical College and earned his medical degree, MBBS. He later joined Durgabai Dheshmukh Hospital and Research Centre at Hyderabad and successfully awarded the degree, DNB in Family Medicine in 2008. Since medicine is his passion, he continued his professional studies and received PGDHS (Diabetology), PGDCC (Clinical Cardiology) and FCGP.

Dr. V.Sreeenivas served in various capacities as Coordinator cum Faculty and HOD of the Department of family medicine at Apollo Hospitals. He was also involved in multiple roles and led the Family Clinic as the Consultant.

Recognizing his services, he was appointed by the NBE as chief examiner for FAT practical examinations in the area of Family Medicine. He was also Faculty for DFM and FCC (Fellow in Clinical Cardiology) courses conducted by Apollo Medversity. He was also teaching courses in DFM and MRCGP(Int.) programmes that were jointly conducted by IMA and Apollo Hospitals. He published several articles and recently coauthored a book entitled, Family Medicine 5 Minutes OSCE for DNB 2020, AFPI.

Dr.V.Sreenivas has deep interest in fundamental and applied research. He guided and supervised the theses of DNB registered students. In 2004 the Indian Medical Association recognized him as the best student in FCGP. Adult immunization and surveillance, screening of cardiovascular risk factors in primary care, assessment of metabolic syndrome in primary care are some of his areas of interest.

Dr.V. Sreenivas is currently the Dean, the College of Family Medicine, AFPI and the Member of its National Executive. He is the Founder President of AFPI Telangana State Chapter and Chairman of its Scientific Committee.
Dr. V. Sreenivas was awarded ‘the Honorary Professor’, Indian Medical Association, College of General Practitioners, New Delhi.
Dr.V.Sreenivas is a Family Medicine Physician located in Hyderabad City. He studied at Osmania Medical College and earned his medical degree, MBBS. He later joined Durgabai Dheshmukh Hospital and Research Centre at Hyderabad and successfully awarded the degree, DNB in Family Medicine in 2008. Since medicine is his passion, he continued his professional studies and received PGDHS (Diabetology), PGDCC (Clinical Cardiology) and FCGP.
Dr. V.Sreeenivas served in various capacities as Coordinator cum Faculty and HOD of the Department of family medicine at Apollo Hospitals. He was also involved in multiple roles and led the Family Clinic as the Consultant.
Recognizing his services, he was appointed by the NBE as chief examiner for FAT practical examinations in the area of Family Medicine. He was also Faculty for DFM and FCC (Fellow in Clinical Cardiology) courses conducted by Apollo Medversity. He was also teaching courses in DFM and MRCGP(Int.) programmes that were jointly conducted by IMA and Apollo Hospitals. He published several articles and recently coauthored a book entitled, Family Medicine 5 Minutes OSCE for DNB 2020, AFPI.
Dr.V.Sreenivas has deep interest in fundamental and applied research. He guided and supervised the theses of DNB registered students. In 2004 the Indian Medical Association recognized him as the best student in FCGP. Adult immunization and surveillance, screening of cardiovascular risk factors in primary care, assessment of metabolic syndrome in primary care are some of his areas of interest.

Dr. Kamlesh is a distinguished Family Physician with over 38 years of experience in medicine, having made significant contributions to the field, both in clinical practice and medical education. His extensive career includes notable achievements at Sultan Qaboos University in Oman, where he played a pivotal role in establishing the Department of Family Medicine and developing the Postgraduate Residency Training Program in collaboration with the Royal College of General Practitioners, UK. His work in Oman set a high standard for family medicine education and practice, impacting countless students and healthcare professionals.

A strong advocate for Evidence-Based Medicine, Dr. Kamlesh has been trained at the prestigious University of Oxford. His expertise in this area has led him to conduct workshops around the world, sharing his knowledge and advancing the practice of medicine grounded in solid research and best practices. Additionally, he has served as an international examiner for the MRCGP [INT], ensuring that the next generation of family physicians meets the rigorous standards required for certification.

Dr. Kamlesh's contributions to medical literature are substantial. He has authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and has written several influential books. His works cover a wide range of topics, including the interpretation of ECGs, preparation for Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs), and a guide for new parents titled Your New Baby. His most recent book, Unleashing the Power of AI for Family Doctors, reflects his forward-thinking approach and commitment to integrating technology and innovation into medical practice.

Since 2015, Dr. Kamlesh has been actively involved with the Academy of Family Physicians of India as the Director (International) of Continuing Professional Development (CPD). In this role, he has been instrumental in organizing both online and on-site workshops on a diverse range of topics, including Artificial Intelligence for Family Physicians and entrepreneurship in healthcare. His leadership in CPD has significantly contributed to the professional growth of family physicians across India and beyond.

Dr. Kamlesh's passion for teaching is evident in the numerous awards he has received for his excellence in education and training. He has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to both undergraduate and postgraduate education, shaping the careers of many aspiring doctors. His innovative approach to teaching, which includes helping doctors self-publish books, create educational videos, and develop professionally, showcases his dedication to mentoring and empowering his peers.

Currently based in Canada, Dr. Kamlesh continues to embody his mantra: "Creative, Innovative, Disruptive." He is committed to pushing the boundaries of traditional medical education and practice, encouraging doctors to think outside the box and embrace new technologies and methods. His ongoing efforts to support MRCGPs in obtaining fellowships and his guidance in entrepreneurial ventures highlight his versatile contributions to the field.

Dr Tabinda Ashfaq

Dr Tabinda Ashfaq is working as a Professor and Consultant Family Physician. She is a clinical lead for Integrated Medical Center at aga Khan University hospital taking care of quality of care provided by Family physicians at outreach satellite medical centers. She is a course director For Family Medicine one year diploma offered by College of Family Medicine in collaboration with Malir university. She is also working as MRCGP (int) South Asia exam Convener and have been involved in overall coordination and execution of MRCGP (INT) exam for South Asia, which is held thrice a year. She is member of board of directors of College of Family Medicine Pakistan and works in collaboration to upgrade the knowledge and skills of General Practitioners. She has more than 35 publications to her credit and a book chapter on research status in Pakistan. Her area of interest in research includes non-communicable diseases, women’s health and family practice. She has also received a grant as co-investigator to implement the Family Practice approach in the country.
